A special thank you to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting this lovely Pink Saturday for us all. Be sure to visit the other ladies and see what Pink Sweets they have to share today!
Here is a sneak peak of some of my favorite sweet pinks ~ in my new craftroom!
Remember this $2.00 yard sale cabinet?
Here she is with her pretty RED dress on! Now girls, we wouldn't have pink if it weren't for our beautiful red gal, now would we? On top of the dresser I have Rachel Ashwell pink striped blanket that we are not using right now since it is over 100 in our desert paradise! Underneath is my Grama's sewing box! It was given to me 24 years ago with her entire sewing room! Seriously! She told my mom that when she passed away to give me EVERYTHING because she knew I would keep it and never throw anything away. I've kept a lot of your treasures, grama!
One thing I kept all these years is the box of ribbon and seam binding and rickrack that she carefully stored away on small pieces of cardboard.
Look what I did with some of the sweet bits she gave me!
This bulletin board is huge - it measures about 4' by 3'. I found the frame at a yard sale for $2 and I used the picture to mount my batting and fabric on. I love it! Some of the ribbons are new and some are from Grama. Uh-oh - I put the cherry ribbon on upside down!
Some more pink....
Oh, look girls - a robin visited my craftroom! How sweet - she layed her pretty blue eggs amongst sweet pink ribbon and laces!
I love my yo-yo's! See how pretty pink looks with her favorite friends beside her!
Happy Pink Saturday!
Please say hello so I can come and visit you, too!
Hugs, Patti

The cabinet is $2? It may not be pink but it's perfect in red :-)
I also like how you framed the ribbons your grandma gave you. A very nice way to display them and functional too. And my eyes is feasting on those clothes neatly folded and box of ribbon(?)/seam bindings(?) in different colors!
Happy Pink Saturday!

Patti, I love all of your things in this post. I love how you used your grandmother's ribbons in the bulletin board. That is SO cute as are those cute little yo-yos. And your cabinet looks fab, too! Pink is white plus red so red works for me. ;-)
Have a blessed PS and Fourth, too!
XO,
Sheila :-)

You are so lucky, Patti, to find the red cabinet and also the china buffet - and for the price you got it for!!! I have never been that lucky. Just found your post and look forward to seeing more of your paintings.

Patti, it is absolutely charming and wonderful...you knew I would love it!!! You have done such a job. It's all so sweet and fresh and full of sentimental sweetness. I can't say enough good stuff. The paint color looks so familiar...hmmmm....isn't it such a happy color? I am looking forward to seeing all the rest of your projects to come with great anticipation, as all of it is right up my alley. My Craft Cottage is a bit draggy right now with kids out of school, but I'm really anxious to get back with it and hope you will keep your eyes peeled! Keep going, girl. It's all perfect.
