Oh My - is Summer almost over?
All summer long I said to myself, "I want to return to my blog and catch up with my blogging friends." I miss sharing my creative side with girlfriends. So, I hope you will all welcome me back. Here it is already August, better late than never.
I have been very busy redoing and creating cute things all summer. I love my new craft room - and have tons of space to create and have fun.
My favorite project so far this summer though is this redo to my kitchen eating space. We do not have a formal dining area, so this small area is for eating. It can be crowded - but, at least it is cute!
We painted the existing table and 4 chairs that we found at a yard sale for $5 a piece. My sweet husband did all the painting for me on the chairs and the table pedastal with spray paint! Then, we bought a can of matching latex paint so that I could paint the tabletop to match. And,so it would be pretty and smooth.
Here are a few more photos of my kitchen area.
I always wanted to paint this hoosier type cabinet and I am very happy that I finally did paint it. My son says I ruined it! I made this cute paper project by interpreting a quilting pattern. I love the idea of quilting, but find that paper gives me a good deal of satisfaction and goes quite quickly.
I found this sweet little loveseat at a yard sale for $15 and just had to have it as my sweet husband rolled his eyes. The little red end table was another yard sale find for $2.
Here are a few other summer pictures to enjoy...
These are my grandchildren enjoying a caramel smoothie after a FUN afternoon at the waterpark!
Here is a photo of our daughter and her family. Her father in law, Pat, who had cancer, passed away this past week. This was one of the last good days we had with him. We are all extremely thankful, and happy, that he gave his sweet heart to the Lord. We all loved Popeye very much.
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
John 1:12
Pati your creations give me a warm and fussy feeling, puts a smile on my face and gives me inspiration. I love everything you do, now and the last 20 years!!!! Ronel ♥

I was so excited to see that you had finally posted something. I found your blog last fall and love what you do, so I have been checking back since then to find something new. Can I say "absolutely!" you can come back? (because I'm new) I love your happy kitchen but I really love those cute little Dutch kissers in your banner and never got tired of seeing them nor the Bible verse every time I checked your blog.
