Thank you sweet Beverly of How Sweet the Sound, for hosting another Pink Saturday. Please visit her site for a long list of Dreamy Pink Places!
In honor of Colette's recovery, I would like share about two of my dear girlfriends.
The first is Jill. I first met Jill when I taught her son Nick in 1st grade. Jill is a beautiful girl - so pretty - and so kind. Jill is a baker. She makes the most wonderful things - and she often baked for our classroom parties. But, the thing I love so much that she bakes is her famous
STRAWBERRY CUPCAKES!
Tonight Jill and Nick came over for dinner and we were very happy when she brought in her famous cupcakes! Hubs ate TWO of them! I'm saving my second one for tomorrow. Oh - isn't it so pretty?
She makes the yummiest strawberry creamcheese frosting tinted the softest touch of pink. Oh dear, the are so good!
Another friend of mine is Grama Julie. We called her Grama Julie because her granddaughter was in my kindergarten class this year. She came over this summer to see my cute as pie craftroom, and I noticed she was ohhhhing and ahhhhing my fabric strawberries! So, I cut out several pieces from my stash and sewed up the sides with my machine. They are ready for her now to stuff and embellish to her liking.
Here is a picture of my strawberry tree. I have a post somewhere on my blog about this sweet tree.
I am also very happy to have new friends stop by my blog. Here is a strawberry pattern for you to enjoy. The picture is drawn on a piece of cardstock. The scanner missed a few bits here and there. I hope you can redraw them.
Friendships are treasures.
Remember the old song...
"Make new friends and keep the old.
One is silver and the other gold."
On Monday, I will be opening the doors once again to a brand new class of dear little kindergarten kids. If you think of us, please pray for our school. May each child grow to love the greatest Friend of all, our Lord Jesus.
Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13
Happy Pink Saturday, dear Betty. Thank you for making Pink Saturday special, and for taking part in this day of celebration and thanks.
There truly are miracles going on all around us every day. We just have to open our hearts in acceptance. Good friends are one of our blessings. Thank you for sharing yours.

Happy Pink Saturday Patti Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. I had to hold myself back when I saw that yummy cupcake. My does it ever look good, and what a treasure to have a baker friend. I am sure she showers you with many treats.
Teaching Kindergarten children, our babies of the future is such a BIG job. They are quite a handful at that age and I will definitely be remembering you in prayer. That you can bring the NEEDS to each one at the right time and help their hearts and minds to grow over this next year. May your Monday be showered with love and wonderful beginnings, as each year is a new beginning for you in your job.
Thank you sweetie for joining in our Miracle Weekend. Please stop by my blog and leave a comment. My blog is one of the (5) places that Guideposts Magazine is donating a $1.00 for each comment left. I want to break the bank with enough comments for a DOZEN more miracle makeovers.
Many hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry

Hi Patti,
Strawberries are my favorite and those cupcakes look so good! Your fabric strawberries are so cute, especially the ones displayed on the cake stand. I will be praying for you as you start another year. Kindergarten teachers have a special place in our hearts and in heaven too, I'm sure! Hugs, Victoria Lynn
