For those of us who just LOVE the little Ann Estelle dolls by Mary Engelbreit, this post is for you. I just love the sweet little face of Ann Estelle. This little doll measures 10" and is 7 years old. Each doll wears an outfit that is well known from Mary's illustrations on cards and calendars.
I have quite a few dolls in this room. We call it the doll-room - but I have some little boy toys, too.
The doll on the left is Alice in Wonderland. She shares the same body as the two 18" Ann Estelle's. All of my dolls were made by the Robert Tonner Doll Company. Ann Estelle is now a part of the Effanbee division.
I had to put my M.E. toys up high on these top two shelves of a tall bookcase because my youngest grandson was playing with them. He took apart the ladder to the bunkbed set! He is 3 and such a BOY! But, he does love to play with the dolls in the dollhouse.
Here are the boy's toys. I have a huge shabby basket filled with our son's legos. He is 27 now. The bottom drawer is filled with lots of toys from his earliest years - like the Fisher Price animals and tractor to the barn. Do you see the Disney Castle there on the floor? We have lots of little Disney figures that go with that play set, too. I do regret that I still had his Ninja Turtles. He sold them at a yard sale - which still makes me sad. I think he would love to have those Turtles himself!
The cabinet was my gramas. She stored kitchen goods in it, sort of like a little pantry. The inside shelves are filled with more AE dolls and some Tiny Anns and Betsy McCalls. I have my original Betsy McCall in this cabinet. The green bunkbed on top of the dresser is also by Mary Engelbreit. I won this off of ebay with a huge box of dolls. By the time I sold the pieces I didn't want or need, I had about 10 FREE Ann Estelles! I am so blessed!
The little composition doll in the highchair was my mothers. The trunk is FILLED with Ann Estelle clothes.
Would you like to come over and play teaparty with the girls?
A special thank you to Vicki at Cherry Chicks for hosting another M.E. Monday. It's fun to visit with other Mary Engelbreit FANS!
Holy Cow Patti...I had no idea there were so many Ann Estelle dolls available. I picked up my four 8" dolls from a Tuesday Morning store. They were a close out from Madame Alexander dolls so I'm sure I didn't pay a whole lot for them. I just went and looked at them and they are dated 1999.
But you have a whole beautiful room full. How charming they all are. I keep scrolling through all of your pictures to make sure I don't miss anything. Then I had to enlarge all of them so I wouldn't miss any detail. The embroidery on that dolls dress in the first picture is amazing. I love the doll with the with the Cherry dress and apron in the 4th picture down. It's so cute how you have all the little toys displayed on the shelves with your dolls.
I remember the little Fisher Price Barn. My son, who is 38 now, had one as a child. Some toys are just timeless. I still have his Legos, too...lol.
Thanks so much for joining us on ME Monday. I'm sure all the women will be as excited about your sharing with us as much I am.
Wow!

I'm so glad I blog hopped over here! I love your doll collection and you have it presented so well in your "doll room". I have a upstairs bedroom that we call my "Teddy Bear Room" - I have them all in a bookcase. I don't have too many dolls but I do have three from my childhood.

Hello-I am a friend of Elizabeth's and she mentioned you have a collection of ME dolls when I mentioned to her that I am DYING to have one!! You have such a collection-many darling faces and outfits I haven't seen. For some reason, I was in the Twilight Zone when her dolls were happening because I don't remember them, never got one. So now, in 2012, I am coming around to them!! I love dolls, and teddies, and did my Mom, and her Mother as well. I was even into making bears, then got into making the miniatures. Ah well, back to Ann Estelle...Your dolls are just to die for! They all look so darling where you have them. It's so nice to have room to spread things out. I no longer have much room, but will that stop me....no!!! Dolls, and teddies, and toys, and vintage things are so innocent. My goodness, what is the harm of grown women who still play with dolls and toys????? LOL I always say, you never outgrown your need for toys!!!! I'm glad I stopped by your blog - I hope you get to read this, I'd love to come to know you better!!!! :)
Hugs, Sandie
