My sweet hubs added crown molding and beadboard to my outdated 1980's oak cabinets. He then painted them a creamy cottage white. I love the brushed silver pulls he put on the doors and drawers.

Carolynn..."Chenille Cottage" Blog

Hi Patti!
What a darling blog. I am so happy to meet you. I read your kind comment and just had to come visiting.

It's funny that right now I am eating a candy cane. I bought a box of them tonight on clearance. They are a favorite of mine, too. My last name is Mintz and it's fitting. My oldest sister's name is Patti and I often tease her that if she had my last name she'd be Patti Mintz!
How I love all of your darling Christmas decorations. They're so cottagey and full of warm friendly color.
I, too, am a believer in our precious Lord, Savior and Messiah. He is so good and I know that no matter what the New Year holds...He will be with us every step of the way.
Blessings, my new friend,

Your decorations are so sweet. Love all your beautiful vignettes. Our house is full of sweets right now. My husband bought home boxes of treats from parents and the PTA at his two schools. I need to stay away from that corner of my kitchen.

Christmas hugs and soon-to-be Happy New Year!

My neighbor across the street, her name is Patty too but her mother taught her how to spell her name wrong with a y and not an i, anyway she makes the most divine ginger snap cookies. She usually gives me a tin of them this time of year, but when she hadn't brought any over I reminded her she had forgot me! I know that's totally rude, but let me tell you they are that amazing & she only makes them once a year! Hmmm she still hasn't sent any over....maybe I'll go visit her today..... if I score I'll send some to you & share....LOL...have a great weekend!
